Arch Marston

Arch has been a practicing civil engineer since joining AES Consulting Engineers in 1983. In his current role as President he guides the firm’s delivery of a wide variety of land planning, site engineering and surveying services. His notable local projects include New Town, Fords Colony, Colonial Heritage, the Sentara-Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, and many others.

A 1982 graduate of Virginia Tech, Arch has been or is an active in a number of professional organizations including the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Land Development and Design Initiative which is a program within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech.

Additionally, he has been active in the local community, graduating the 1997 class of the Leadership Historic Triangle (LHT) and serving as a board member of the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg. He has coached AAU basketball teams and Williamsburg Youth Athletics baseball and basketball teams.

Arch lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife Lisa. They have three sons, Rob, Matt, and Geoff. He enjoys spending time with his family, supporting Virginia Tech, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Marston and his family founded and organized Buddy-Basketball. Supported by the City of Williamsburg’s Youth Athletics, this is a basketball league for mentally and physically handicapped individuals.
